In order to participate in our 4 x 4 days, please bring along your driving licence, vehicle MOT and insurance certificate.

The Quarry is open for 4 x 4’s from 9.30 until 4.30 on the last Sunday of each month. Bring your own vehicle and take the opportunity to drive safely off road without the worries of rights of access. There are 2 routes available to explore. The routes are changed each month so that each time you attend there are new challenges to be found.

The site offers ample car parking plus a snack bar and toilet facilities.

The GREEN Route

The green route allows novice drivers to experience off road conditions without danger to vehicles or people. Find out exactly what you and your vehicle are capable of doing under tough conditions.

This route is suitable for all users and is generally non damaging to your vehicle. It is best suited to those who want to try out off roading without taking too much risk.

The route consists mainly of rough quarry tracks with inclines and descents, mud and ponds. This route tests out your suspension and prepares you for taking the ultimate red route!!

This route can be enjoyed by first timers and seasoned off roaders alike.

The RED Route

This is for the more experienced off roaders!

Once drivers have gained more skill and experience this route can be undertaken. The course consists of rock crawling, extremely steep hill climbs and descents better than any theme park can offer. There is deep mud and even deeper ponds (snorkle advisable for vehicles and drivers!)

This route is extremely challenging to drivers and their vehicles and is therefore not suited to first timers to the sport. Vehicles must run on upgraded tyres.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF ANYONE GETS STUCK OFF THE DESIGNATED ROUTE THERE IS A RECOVERY CHARGE OF £25.00
