We currently run two mini-bike (pit bike) tracks. Our top track is suitable for two stoke machines up to 80cc. The bottom track is more suited to pro mini bikes. Back Cowm Quarry is situated high above Whitworth and we are very exposed to the elements. As a result of this, our tracks sometimes have to be closed because of high winds, waterlogging or because they are frozen. We would advise anyone planning a trip to contact John on 07970 101879 before they set off to make sure that the tracks are open. There are toilet facilities and car parking next to the track. A Snack bar serving hot and cold snacks is also on site. MINI BIKE EVENTSOur next Mini bike event is planned for 1st November.On 15 March we are holding a Mini/Pit Bike Hare and Hounds event. The format for the event will utilize both tracks and surrounding areas and we hope to cater for all classes including youth (shorter course) through to adults up to 160cc. The races will be about 20 minutes long to give each entrant plenty of ride time. This should be a different, but enjoyable event for all who participate. The entry fee is £30 plus £3 for a day licence. 1 Year licences will also be available on the day priced at £12 payable to ORPA. Please contact John for more information 07970 101 879 . PROTECTIVE CLOTHINGProtective clothing must be worn in order to ride on the track. Motorcycle boots, gloves and a helmet are paramount, body armour is optional but recommended., , TRACKS CLOSEDOur tracks will be closed to practice on 15 March and 12 April due to our Hare and Hounds events taking place.
